Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PHP Developer (CodeIgniter) with deep technical expertise in PHP, the CodeIgniter framework, and MySQL database development. The ideal candidate will be capable of leading complex development tasks, optimizing system performance, and providing technical guidance to junior developers.
This role requires a professional who can take ownership of backend architecture, ensure secure and maintainable code, and contribute to delivering robust, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy production-grade applications using PHP CodeIgniter
• Handle system setup, configuration, and deployment independently
• Architect, design, and optimize MySQL databases
• Write clean, secure, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with designers, QA teams, and project managers to meet project goals
• Lead, mentor, and review junior developers and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve overall application performance
• Ensure compliance with best practices, security standards, and coding guidelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with PHP and CodeIgniter
• Proven experience building and deploying end-to-end systems
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture
• Advanced proficiency in MySQL (schema design, optimization, queries)
• Experience integrating front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Hands-on experience with Git or equivalent version control tools
• Ability to lead junior developers and enforce code quality
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
